Writing, designing and producing technical literature also form part of our design remit. Over the years we’ve originated installation guides, user instructions, conversion tables, specification sheets and other technically-oriented material. Here the disciplines are somewhat different, since they may entail working with the actual product or equipment, going through the various assembly, setting-up or fitting stages, then developing clear step-by-step instructions and associated diagrams. We have access to technical people in various fields, as well as client personnel, but if we don’t understand what we’re writing about, how do we expect users to.
